Leading the Charge for a Fairer Global Health System
Amref Health Africa, with support from Wellcome Trust, is leading an African dialogue on Global Health Reform. This region-wide initiative will test, challenge, and refine the ideas outlined in the foundational Africa Perspective Paper and other global calls for reform.
This dialogue represents a historic opportunity: to move beyond fragmented and donor-led approaches towards a unified African vision grounded in equity, sovereignty, and resilience. Through collective action and African leadership, we aim to shape a new global health architecture that is co-created to serve the needs of all people, everywhere.
Through this crucial survey and a series of virtual sessions, stakeholders across Africa will share perspectives on pressing priorities and challenges. We welcome the broadest possible range of voices to stress-test core reform propositions.
A high-level continental gathering will provide space for dialogue to synthesize outputs, debate contested areas, and develop concrete, actionable proposals for reform.
A focused virtual session will validate proposals, secure broad endorsement, and finalize Africa’s consensus position.
